Van Lanschot completes acquisition of ING Private Banking Curaçao

Van Lanschot Bankiers (Curaçao) N.V. completed the acquisition of the private banking activities of ING Bank N.V. in Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles, on 31 December 2008. The acquisition was announced on 7 November 2008.
 
Van Lanschot has had a presence in Curaçao since 1976, offering private banking, asset management and trust services. The acquisition will enhance Van Lanschot Curaçao's client base and increase its assets under management.
 
The transaction is in keeping with Van Lanschot's ambition to provide a broad and high-value service offering to its Dutch and Belgian private banking clients. Boasting branches in Switzerland, Luxembourg and Curaçao, Van Lanschot offers international asset planning solutions to clients with global asset management requirements.
